Top Activities to Enjoy at Panama City Beach and Pier Park

Sun, surf, shopping, and a flat white — my trip to Panama City Beach and Pier Park had a little bit of everything. As promised, here is a recap of the fabulous time I had and a few highlights for anyone thinking about visiting. Panama City Beach is a great place to eat, swim, shop, and enjoy a quick coastal getaway.

What I dove into:

There are a few public beaches to choose from, but I picked the dog beach because I love seeing canines splashing around in the water. The surf was so much fun, and yes, I did get knocked down by the waves on my way out to deeper water — but for me, that is part of the adventure of swimming in the Gulf. The undertow can be stronger than it looks, so be careful, know your limits, and keep an eye on the water before heading too far out.

Where I Grabbed a Bite:

Of course, I had to stop at Starbucks. They always have baked goods, a few protein-rich snacks, and my favorite flat white — which was exactly what I needed before heading back out to explore.

Where I Shopped:

I explored Dillard’s and admired the new Stanley Cups, and although Pier Park has many stores, I couldn’t visit them all, it gives me a reason to return to Panama City Beach. I also checked out Sephora for their affordable, high-quality store brand eye shadow, and of course, as I always do, I hit the jackpot.

After a long day of sand, surf, and shopping, I was absolutely content and ready to head back to my hotel room in Marianna for a night’s rest. Panama City Beach, I give you a ten out of ten!

Thank you all for reading this week! I hope this recap gave you a little inspiration for your own beach day, shopping trip, or weekend getaway. Check back again soon for more recommendations and updates on where I am headed next.
